Asked why he wants to be the top prosecutor for Coffee and Pike Counties, Bradshaw stated “I intend to bring a zealous and aggressive approach to the prosecution of crime and a bold change to the office of the District Attorney. Based on my observations and participation in dozens of trials over the last decade, there is room to improve upon all aspects of the District Attorney's Office." 

Gary's immediate goals include establishing a closer relationship with local law enforcement agencies, creating a drug court** (see note below), and improving the collection of child support and worthless checks and the operation of the deferred prosecution program.

Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Sue Bell Cobb has a vision to put a drug court in every county in Alabama. Implementing drug courts in Alabama will ensure the courts give thousands of offenders the tools they need to defeat their addictions and learn to live sober and productive lives. The outcome will be a marked reduction in prison populations, reduced crime and greater cost savings to Alabama tax-payers. Currently, the 12th Judicial Circuit (Coffee and Pike Counties) does not have a Drug Court.  It is my campaign promise to you that if elected, one of my first priorities will be to establish a Drug Court in the 12th Circuit.  In the words of Chief Justice Cobb,”We want to be known for fixing people, not filling prisons.”
